Originally published in 1984, "The Drug of Obedience," is a brazilian classic children's book by Pedro Bandeira, and was adapted into a comic book in 2025. The trio responsible for "Gioconda" and "The Boy King" reunite for this version, and reimaginate the original story into the present days. The book is the first in the "Os Karas" series, which follows a group of students who team up to solve crimes. In this first case, the students investigate the disappearance of classmates, but they encounter a drug that makes its users blindly obey the sinister Dr. Q.I.
