Mariane Gusmão is an illustrator and comic book colorist from São Paulo, Brazil. Among the things she loves are cats, pop culture in general, loki and pixel art. Completed several classes related to illustration and painting at Quanta Academia de Artes and graduated in graphic design at FMU.
She began her career in the comics industry in 2012 as a color assistant (or flatter), working with several colorists around the world. While working as an assistant she was also coloring full pages and started preparing her portfolio to be a colorist, which happened in 2017. One of her first works as a colorist, Desafiadores do Destino, earned her an award for best colorist in the Brazilian national comics award Trofeu HQMix.
